The Poimenas Part A, Companions of the Abels by Bill Wilkinson | HB

  • $3999

The Poimenas, a natural progression from the Abels (mountains over 1100m high with a drop of at least 150m all around them), are a superb collection of day walks to amenable hills and knolls around Tasmania. This edition (Part A) includes Poimenas in the South West, South East, Central West, Central South and Central East of the state.

The walks cater for young children through to experienced walkers and take from 30-minutes to two hours return.  Each Poimena has been classified into one of four grades to assist in choosing which walk is suitable. The articles, accompanied by magnificent photos, provide detailed information on terrain and vantage points.

It is important to note that the current list of Poimenas is not final. Additional Poimenas will be added to this collection, and it is expected that many possibilities will be suggested by walkers where tracks, terrain and permission from landowners on private property may make them suitable candidates.
