Cataract Gorge, a five-kilometre urban reserve wrapped around a spectacular rocky formation, is just a short distance from Launceston city centre. Generations of locals have cherished the Gorge for its dramatic cliffs, peaceful bushland, waterways, wildlife and park facilities.
